‘Farmer’s Street’ to be establish in Bau, opening set for February 2025

BAU, Jan 18: A ‘Farmer’s Street’ will soon be established by the Bau Area Farmers’ Organisation Centre (PPKB).

According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), this initiative was introduced following a decision made during a briefing organised by the Bau Area Farmers’ Organisation Office, aimed at reviving a business platform for local farmers.

The briefing was chaired by Deputy Minister of Transport and Tasik Biru assemblyman, Dato Henry Harry Jinep.

The proposed launch of ‘Farmer’s Street’ is scheduled for February 2025, with the official opening set for Feb 24, 2025.

In line with this effort, PPKB will identify and invite agricultural entrepreneurs in the Bau District interested in showcasing and selling their products.

Also in attendance were acting Bau District Officer Eddy Nayoi and Sarawak Farmers’ Organisation general manager Gom Raway. — DayakDaily
