MIRI, Apr 14: Fear of being hit by stray bullets fired by his neighbour at an orchard at Kampung Kuala Tangap, Sepupok, Niah, led a farmer in his early 40s to lodge a police report on Tuesday.

According to a police source, the man’s frequent target shooting had scared his nearby neighbours.

Prior to the report lodged, the man’s nearby neighbours had multiple times advised him to stop discharging his gun, to no avail.

There were also incidents when the complainant could hear pellets dropping onto his house roof and the sound of gunfire.

Fearing that he and other villagers’ lives were in danger from the stray bullets, the complainant lodged the police report.

As at press time, no arrest has been made in connection with the incident.—DayakDaily
