This two-day extravaganza showcasing Sarawak’s anime, comic and games (ACG) scene promises to be the ultimate gathering for anime enthusiasts, cosplayers, artists, gamers, hobbyists, and more.
Otakyun! 2023 is set to be a grand celebration of the world of fantasy and imagination, with something for everyone. Attendees can immerse themselves in a world of creativity, cosplay, and competition, with a host of exciting activities and special guests lined up.
One of the event’s main highlights is the presence of renowned guest cosplayers from West Malaysia and overseas. Get ready to meet and interact with your favorite cosplayer celebrities, including Amelia Khor from Malaysia, Ola Aphrodite from Indonesia, and Heyleydia from Thailand.
For those seeking to showcase their skills and talents, the event features a series of competitions, including Cosplay Skit, Idol, Doodle Art, Sarawak Art Wars, Model Building, and Cosplay Prop-Making.
Budding Trading Card Game champions can put their skills to the test in the tournament hosted by Buddy Connection.
But the excitement doesn’t end there, as Otakyun! 2023 boasts a diverse lineup of live performances, featuring musical acts like G Music Vocals Kuching, Shangyin Music Centre, and The Band Lab. Special guests Amelia Khor and Ola Aphrodite will also grace the stage with their presence.
For those interested in the world of V-tubers, there will be captivating performances and showcases. And don’t miss the chance to join interactive games, including the main event story quest, where attendees can shape the event’s epic finale.
Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore a wide array of ACG artist booths and booth exhibitors, promoting their unique art and merchandise from Sarawak and beyond.

Since its inception, Otakyun! has been a hub for enthusiasts and creators alike, providing a platform to showcase talent, connect with like-minded individuals, and celebrate the world of fantasy and imagination.
The event will take place from 10am to 8pm during the two-day period, with tickets priced at RM60 for a two-day pre-order set, RM40 per day for single day admission and RM160 for a special glitter pack.
