KUCHING, Jan 8: A double-storey house at Jalan Temenggong Haji Gobel was 80 per cent destroyed in a fire early this morning.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a call about the fire at 1.30am and 24 firefighters from Petra Jaya and Padungan were despatched to the scene.
They managed to bring the fire under control and put it out at 2.13am.
Although no injuries were reported, the fire had affected one family of seven adults and two children.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. — DayakDaily
