MIRI, Nov 1: A family of five were made homeless when a fire destroyed their home in Kampung Merapa at Pujut, here, today.
According to the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, the house was 100 per cent damaged in the early morning incident.
“Firefighters continue to deploy two water hose from their fire engines to extinguish the remaining fire,” the department said.
The house owner and other occupants were not at home during the incident and no injuries were reported.
The cause of fire and total losses are still under investigation. — DayakDaily
