KUCHING, July 25: The state government is grateful to the Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (FAMA) for its continuous effort to help local farmers, breeders and fishermen.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said the agency, through the organising of its agricultural food fest, will provide a good venue for vegetable planters, farm animal breeders, as well as the fishing community to sell their produce.

“This is in line with the state government’s policy that whatever farmers had planted, animals bred and fishes caught by fishermen, could be sold to get an income,” he said at the launching of the two-day Sarawak Agricultural Food Fest at the old state Legislative Assembly building, here, today.
