A military ceremony was conducted before the presentation of the Malaysian flag and condolences from Commander of the First Malaysian Infantry Division, Major General Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Kamis, to the deceased’s wife, Grace Jummit Sylvester.

The flag was presented in recognition of the sacrifices made by Petrus in service to his country and the military.
