KUCHING, Oct 18: The BDC flyover is safe for road users as no structural crack has occurred at the concrete underneath it.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the flyover is safe for road users, stressing that a diagonal line seen overlapping of concrete is normal in concreting due to formwork.
“The investigation by Sarawak Public Works Department and consultants showed no crack or structural crack.
“The observation showed a diagonal line overlapping of concrete during different batching. This is normal in concreting due to formwork.
“What important is that it is not a crack. The bridge which was completed in 2010 is safe as per commented by the consultant, Jurutera Jasa,” Fadillah said in a posting on his Facebook today. —DayakDaily
