KUCHING, Aug 19: Former Prime Minister of Canada and co-chair of the United Nations SDG Advocates Group, Justin Trudeau, will not be participating in the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Forum (SAREF) 4.0.
The news was shared by Sarawak Energy on its Facebook page today.
“We appreciate his well wishes for the success of the forum, which continues to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, bringing together diverse global experts and leaders on renewable energy initiatives focused on a common goal,” it said.
SAREF 4.0 is a platform for dialogue on sustainable energy, climate resilience and inclusive growth and is scheduled to take place on Sept 3 and 4 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
The forum will feature a diverse range of international and regional experts, including leaders in renewable energy, climate policy, and sustainable development, ensuring a broad exchange of perspectives and best practices.
It was reported that Trudeau had been scheduled to share his insights on climate policy and renewable energy initiatives. — DayakDaily
