KUCHING, May 6: Everrise in collaboration with Kuching South City Council (MBKS) has launched the ‘You Donate, We Deliver” Donation Campaign which aims to help less fortunate families whose livelihoods are affected by the MCO and Covid-19 pandemic.
This joint community project between Everrise and MBKS which commenced on April 25 offers a selection of donation packages available at RM17.90, RM33.90, and RM83.90 respectively for customers to purchase and donate through the Everrise Estore.
Members of the public, particularly Everrise customers, can lend a helping hand in providing for the less fortunate with daily essentials. Many people are experiencing difficulties during the Movement Control Order (MCO) which commenced on March 18 to curb the spread of Covid-19, as many people also lost their jobs.
“The response from customers is overwhelming. We received more than 90 donation packages within 10 days.
“This first batch of donations is handed over to MBKS on May 2020 for further distribution. For more information on donation packages, you may refer to the Everrise Estore mobile app.
“It is indeed a good effort to contribute or give back to the public as we fight this pandemic, especially with Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Gawai Dayak Celebration around the corner.
“Besides, it is also to help the urban poor within MBKS’ jurisdiction. There’s nothing more rewarding than giving back and making a difference in the lives of people during this trying time. We are in it together,” MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng highlighted in a press statement today. — DayakDaily
