KUCHING, June 5: If national leaders continue to put politics ahead of people’s welfare, even God can’t save Malaysia, says Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) president Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian.

He said the country is now facing hardship brought about by Covid-19 where many are suffering, any political attempts will make Malaysia even more unstable.

“Malaysia is facing a lot of hardship due to Covid-19 and if we are going to be more unstable, even God can’t save Malaysia.

“We all know that the whole thing is so bad. If you go to kopitiam and markets, everything is so bad.

“If we are still too busy with politics, even God can’t save Malaysia,” Dr Sim told the media after distributing food aid at a five foot way of a shop lot along Jalan Tun Jugah today.

Dr Sim who is also Local Government and Housing Minister was asked to comment on the recent rumours that a snap election would soon be called as Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was said to have obtained support from 130 MPs and that he had recently met with the King.—DayakDaily
