State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas made the announcement today following entertainment centres’ violation of standard operating procedures (SOP) by operating past midnight during the Recovery Control Movement Order (RMCO) period.

“Following the closure notice of entertainment centres which was issued on October 12, local authorities have been directed to issue notification to entertainment centres which violate the SOP and operate past 12 midnight.

“The local authorities have been tasked to take action by closing the premises for 14 days,” he said during a press conference today.
