KUCHING, June 25: Some 50 lunch packs contributed by MJ Kitchen at Metrocity, Matang were delivered today to the enforcement teams at Kampung Tabuan Haji Drahman, Foochow Road that is under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) since June 14.
Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Youth secretary-general Milton Foo, while expressing thanks to MJ Kitchen, lauded its generosity of contributing to the society despite their own difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Despite the operating difficulties under the pandemic, the firm still stood up willingly in carrying out their social responsibility.
“I hope this will be an inspiration for more private sectors to take part in social works and contribute to the nation and its people during this period of warfare against the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, he also said the benevolent deed by the caterer to prepare altogether 500 lunch packs was facilitated by SUPP Youth Central under the arrangement of its Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Bureau secretary Judy Goh.
He said the remaining 450 lunch packs will be prepared and delivered to other personnel on duty and those in need at different places from time to time.
Foo was the witness to the handover of lunch packs from MJ Kitchen manager Julrainal Sajali to Penghulu Alex Pui and enforcement personnel of Kampung Tabuan Haji Drahman. — DayakDaily
