EMCO: Five areas placed under lockdown, 17 more see order lifted

KUCHING, June 27: Five areas in Sarawak have been placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) while 17 other areas are due to have theirs lifted.

According to a report from the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), Ling Hock Transport Sdn Bhd’s quarters in Bintulu, Rh Charlee Ujang, Sg Sap in Tatau and Rh Sibat Agang at Jalan Samarakan Ulu Segan in Bintulu are placed under EMCO from June 26 to July 9.

Two longhouses in Sarikei namely Rh Jerome, Sungai Kesa and Rh Jumbun, Simpang Koko will be under EMCO from June 28 to July 14.

On the other hand, the EMCO in Rh Gani, Sg Jagit Kemedu Sare in Sarikei, a squatter house in Sebatang Kelapa in Bintulu and Kampung Tabuan Haji Drahman in Kuching ended today.

The EMCO for 11 longhouses and a school in Tanjung Manis will end tomorrow (June 28).

They are Rh Mut Merom, Rh Sana Changgai, Rh Jimbun Saging, Rh Bon Depa, Rh Empading Edi, Rh Jaapar Anyut, Rh Jebat Talak, Rh Puso Lunak, Rh Nyalau Engkamat, Rh Noh Bin, Rh Damat Enggie, and SK Stalon.

Apart from that, the EMCO in Rh Kintan Merampu in Pakan will end tomorrow while the EMCO in Rh Umang, Ulu Nunggang will end on June 29. — DayakDaily
