EMCO enforced on another 17 longhouses in Sarawak

KUCHING, Sept 22: Another 17 longhouses in Sri Aman, Lubok Antu, Sarikei, Pakan, Meradong, Sebauh and Kabong have been placed under lockdown to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in its daily update on the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak, announced that the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) had been declared on six longhouses in Sri Aman from Sept 21 to 30.

They are Rh Gevenor in Bungkang, Rh Sigan at Radau in Undop, Rh Ramping in Klauh, Rh Sambau in Nanga Entulang, Rh Baha Lunchong in Tanjung Bijat, and Rh Tingga at Gayau Ili in Pantu.


In Lubok Antu, movement restrictions will be enforced on Rh Jamban at Bilalarap in Lemanak and Rh Buyong at Danau in Engkili, effective from Sept 22 until Oct 1.

In Pakan, the three longhouses affected are Rh Ijau in Sg Kusing, Rh Endu in Ulu Ladong and Rh Nyakin in Sg Bangkit from Sept 22 until Oct 1.

In Meradong, Rh Nicholas Abu Seman at Sg Selidap in Bintangor and Rh Micheal Tandang in Telok Pajar will undergo EMCO until Oct 1.

In Kabong, lockdown has been enforced on Rh Changgi Brayang Hulu Roban and Rh Ganti Sungai Nyiar Roban from Sept 23 to Oct 3.

The remaining two localities identified are Rh Jamu at Sungai Rusa in Sarikei (Sept 22 to Oct 1)and Rh Jembat Anak Dalang at Sg Selezu, Pandan in Sebauh (Sept 23 to Oct 3). — DayakDaily
