KUCHING, June 5: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today declared the implementation of Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in 22 localities at seven districts throughout Sarawak.
According to a press statement from SDMC today, the EMCO are being implemented in Dalat (six), Bukit Meradong (four), Sri Aman (four), Kapit (three), Julau (three), including one each in Meradong and Selangau.
The affected localities at Batang Oya in Dalat are namely Nanga Baoh Health Clinic, Rh. Bala anak Umba, Rh. Balin anak Gema, Rh. Duah anak Entingi, Rh. Tulu anak Sli and Rh. Bala anak Umba, starting on June 7 until June 20, 2021.
In Bukit Mabong, four localities implemented with the EMCO are Rh. Tajai, Nanga Sebiro in Baleh, Rh. Nyamok, Ng Serau, in Sg Gaat, Rh. Laso, Nanga Entawau, in Baleh, and Rh. Rentap, Nanga Entawau, in Baleh, which have already started on June 3, until June 16, 2021.
In Sri Aman, the four localities are Rh. Setia, Sembayang (June 3-16, 2021), Rh. Senah, Sembayang Ban (June 3-16, 2021), Rh. Lepang Sayat, Engkelili (June 4-17, 2021) and Rh. Unya Jambu Arap Skrang (June 5-18, 2021).
In Kapit, the EMCO is being implemented in three longhouses namely Rh. Sli, Ulu Menuan, Batang Rajang (June 2-15, 2021), Rh. Empawie, Sg Yong (June 3-16, 2021), and Rh. Ngelai, Sg Tisa, Sg Yong (June 3-16, 2021).
In Julau, three longhouses are affected by the lockdown namely in Rh. Philip Janting, Ulu Bejawai (June 4-20, 2021), Rh. Japar in Julau (June 5-13, 2021) and Rh. Gasah, Nanga Kemalih (June 5-13, 2021).
Two other longhouses in Meradong and Selangau are also affected by the lockdown namely Rh. Rentap, Sg Rayah, Bintangor, in Meradong (June 5-21, 2021) and Rh. Anthony Jugu, Sungai Buloh, Selangau (June 7-20, 2021).
Meanwhile, SDMC also announced the extension of EMCO in two localities namely in Rh. Nawin, Sg Oyan in Bukit Mabong (June 5-18, 2021), and Rh. Barang in Sg Melinau, Bukit Mabong (June 7-21, 2021).
At the same time, SDMC ended the EMCO implementation in four localities namely in Rh. Aji Sungai Ban, Sri Aman (June 4, 2021), Rh. Nyalu anak Wilson, Jalan Selangau-Mukah, in Mukah (June 5, 2021), Rh. Johnson, Kampung Sedudu, in Sri Aman (June 5, 2021), Rh. Merom, Nanga Engkeramoh, in Julau (June 6, 2021). — DayakDaily
