EMCO announced for 20 new localities in Sarawak

KUCHING, May 28: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today announced the implementation of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in 20 new localities throughout the State.

According to a press statement from SDMC today, for Rh Ngumbang anak Ajum in Nanga Sidan, Tatau, the EMCO implementation has already started prior to the announcement, which will run from May 22, until June 4, 2021.

In six localities, namely in S4-S5 Foreign Lodge in Bintulu, Local Lodge L2-L3 in Bintulu, Rh Sewa Leader Garage in Bintulu, Rh Nompang anak Banda, Sg Sujan, Pandan in Bintulu, and Rh Suntie Kampung Sebujok in Sri Aman, the EMCO started on May 27, until June 9, 2021.


The statement noted the EMCO implementation would also imposed in eight localities in Ulu Teru, Beluru, and one in Sarikei, starting today (May 28) until June 10, 2021.

The affected localities are namely Rh Abok anak Jabu Kampung Mulong, Rh Takang anak Ngadang Kampung Empelam, Rh Henry Gomes Kampung Mission, Rh Kalong anak Goh in Tanjung Rian, Rh Mathew Sigat Lubok Kelambu, Rh Rendah anak Ramba Kampung Matek, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pengarah Enteri and Ulu Teru Health Clinic, including one locality in Sarikei, which is in Rh. Sabah Sungai Selangan.

In two localities in Saratok namely Rh Sambang Babang and Rh Tama Nanga Melupa, the EMCO implementation will start tomorrow (May 29) until June 11, 2021.

While the EMCO implementation in Rh Dullah in Sungai Tuah, Kanowit, and Rh Jackson Jilan in Batu 16, Jalan Oya in Sibu, will start on May 30 (Sunday) until June 12, 2021.

On the same note, SDMC also announced the end of the EMCO in nine localities namely in Rh. Jawan, Kampung Panggil, Sri Aman (May 27, 2021), Rh. Wilson Ayai, Kampung Enkeranji, Sri Aman (May 27, 2021), Rh. Martin, Kampung Enkeranji, Sri Aman (May 27, 2021), Rh. Samion Bawen, Kampung Enkeranji Ulu, Sri Aman (May 27, 2021), Rh. Jefferson, Selindung Ulul, Engkelili, Lubok Antu (May 27, 2021).

Shin Yang workers quarters Block C and D in Kemena Industrial Estate (May 28, 2021), Block O in Sungai Plan, Bintulu (May 28, 2021), Rh. Ado anak Bilong, Sungai Kakus, Tatau ( May 28, 2021), and in Rh. Atom, Nanga Dendang Wak, Pakan (May 28, 2021). — DayakDaily
