KUCHING, March 15: The family of a 60-year-old man who is now in critical condition at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) is urging the public to come forward with any information after the latter was involved in a motorcycle accident at Lorong 15 RPR Batu Kawah between 3pm to 6pm on Sunday.

According to Jordan Soo, who is the assistant to Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen, the elderly man did not return home after he left his house on a motorbike.

“The son of the elderly man searched for him unsuccessfully after he did not return home, and he went to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) to try. It was there that he found out that his father has been admitted to the hospital on Monday at 6am since the accident took place,” he said in a statement.

“He (the son) then visited the Stampin Democratic Action Party (DAP) service centre for assistance as they could not identify the person involved in the accident nor the person who brought the victim to SGH, as they left him there without leaving any information,” he added.

Soo added that upon learning about the incident, he and the victim’s son have lodged a police report, and an investigation is underway.

“We will continue to give full support to the family, and we hope anyone who has information about the accident will be willing to come forward and contact us at 010-8058276 (Jordan).

“Family members, especially the elderly, are advised to inform their whereaboutd when they leave home in the event any of emergency,” he said. — DayakDaily
