Eight localities in Sebauh, Tatau, Julau, Kanowit and Mukah under EMCO

KUCHING, June 14: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today announced the implementation of Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in eight localities in Sebauh, Tatau, Julau, Kanowit and Mukah.

According to SDMC, for Sebauh, the EMCO is being implemented in two localities namely Rh. Robert anak Pengabang and Rh. Achun anak Imban in Nanga Kelebu, which started on June 13 until June 26, 2021.

“In Tatau, the EMCO is implemented in Rh. Jalang, Nanga Bayu, Ulu Entebai in Julau, starting today (June 14) until June 30, 2021.


“For three other localities namely in Rh Sandai, Sg Mapai in Kanowit, Rh. Alat anak Mukan in Mukah and also in Mukah Palm Oil Mill (MPOM), the EMCO will begin on June 16 until June 29, 2021,” the committee said in a statement, today.

Meanwhile, SDMC announced the extension of EMCO implemented in Bintulu (two), Kabong (one) and Tanjung Manis (11).

In Bintulu, the two localities affected by the extension which start today (June 14) until June 20, 2021, are Samalaju Lodge (Local Lodge and Foreign Lodge) in Samalaju Industrial Park and PPR Bandaria Park.

In Kabong, the EMCO extension involves Kampung Darat Gerigat, which also starts today (June 14) until June 20, 2021.

For Tanjung Manis area, the extension, which will begin tomorrow (June 15) until June 28, 2021, affected a total of 11 localities, namely Rh. Mut anak Merom @ Bohom, Rh. Sana anak Changgai, Rh. Jimbun anak Saging, Rh. Bon anak Depa, Rh. Empading anak Edi, Rh. Jaapar anak Anyut, Rh. Jebat anak Talak, Rh. Puso anak Lunak, Rh. Nyalau anak Engkamat, Rh. Noh anak Bin and Rh. Damat anak Engie.

On the same note, SDMC also announced the end of EMCO implemented in five localities, namely in Rh. Ungin anak Unjop, Batu 18, Bintulu-Miri road, in Bintulu (June 13, 2021), Piasau Konkerit Shin Yang Camp, Simpang Labang in Sebauh (June 13, 2021), Sk Stalun in Tanjung Manis (June 15, 2021), Rh. Wun anak Ering, Bakerkong in Tanjung Manis (June 15, 2021), and Kampung Bunut in Mukah (June 15, 2021). — DayakDaily
