Eight households rendered homeless by Pujut Corner fire to be relocated to Kpg Lusut in Lambir

MIRI, May 1: Eight households from the Jalan Pujut Corner fire incident will be relocated to Kampung Lusut in Lambir, as the Sarawak government has approved and endorsed residential lots in the area recently.

The fire, which occurred on April 23, had razed nine wooden houses and rendered 66 people from 15 households homeless.

The presentations of the residential lots were held today by Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan cum Sarawak Minister for International Trade, Industry, and Investment (Mintred) at the Piasau Boat Club (PBC) during the Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Chamber (DUBS) Miri branch Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house.

Also present during the event were Sarawak Transport Minister Datuk Sri Lee Kim Shin; Sarawak Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Development (Women and Childhood Development) Datuk Rosey Yunus; Sarawak Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Dr Ripin Lamat; Mintred advisor Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais; Miri MP Chiew Choon Man; Pujut assemblyman cum Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang, Deputy Mayor Ariffin Mohamad, and DUBS Miri chairman Mohammad Hafidz Rohani. — DayakDaily
