KAPIT, Feb 28: In an effort to boost the local economy in Kapit, a special allocation of RM10,000 has been provided to egg farmer Handry Salang from Song District to support the expansion of his poultry business.
The grant, delivered by Political Secretary to the Minister of Works, Ambrose Abong Bugek, will help Handry increase his number of laying hens, construct a new coop, and purchase essential supplies such as feed, cages, and other necessary equipment to enhance productivity.
According to Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi who is also Kapit Member of Parliament (MP), Handry has been involved in poultry farming for over a year and a half and currently owns 300 laying hens.
“His dedication and hard work in growing this business are truly inspiring to the local community,” Nanta said in a statement today.
He also wished Handry success in his farming venture and expressed hope that the initiative would continue to grow and benefit the wider community. — DayakDaily
