MIRI, Oct 12: The owner of an eatery at Saberkas Commercial Centre discovered his shop broken into early this morning, and among the things found stolen were a laptop and four cartons of soft drinks.
But what was most disturbing to him was a piece of yellow paper inscribed with Arabic words. It was inserted into a transparent plastic bag and left at a corner of the shop.
“It seems that the ‘thing’ (an amulet) was purposely left behind by the suspects,” said the owner, who wished to remain anonymous.
He immediately called up the police around 8am, and later lodged a police report at Miri Central Police Station (CPS).
Preliminary investigation by the police found that the intrusion was via the main entrance. — DayakDaily
