KUCHING, June 28: Restaurants, food stalls and all eateries are allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm starting tomorrow (June 29).

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said this is one of the improvements made to the standard operating procedure (SOP) during Sarawak’s extended Movement Control Order (MCO).

Previously, the food and beverage (F&B) industry was allowed to run their businesses for only 14 hours a day until 8pm.

Meanwhile, book stores and stationery shops are allowed to operate on the condition that the operators following the SOP set for other essential industries such as service and industrial sectors.

As for the night curfew, SDMC said, in a statement today, individuals and groups of individuals are not allowed to be in public places from 12.01am to 5am without valid reasons.

The latest SOP involving night curfew, which is also effective tomorrow, is a shortened version from the previous 10pm to 5am. — DayakDaily
