KUCHING, Feb 28: Individual and non-individual taxpayers can submit their Income Tax Return Form (BN) for the 2024 Remuneration Year and 2024 Assessment Year via e-Filing starting tomorrow (March 1).

In a statement today, Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB) urged taxpayers to use the e-Filing service through the MyTax portal at https://mytax.hasil.gov.my or via the official LHDN website at https://www.hasil.gov.my > MyTax > ezHasil Services > e-Filing.

Meanwhile, tax agents must use the Tax Agent e-Filing System (TAeF), accessible via the MyTax portal, for submission purposes.

Taxpayers must ensure they have the appropriate role in MyTax to enable BN submission via e-Filing.

IRB also encourages taxpayers to prepare in advance by gathering necessary documents such as income statements, receipts, invoices, and other relevant tax records for filing their BN for the 2024 Assessment Year.

For those who forget their password, IRB recommends resetting it via the MyTax portal by selecting Identification Type > Entering Identification Number > Submitting > Clicking ‘Forgot Password’ and choosing a reset method. A password reset link will then be sent to the registered email.
