KUCHING, Sept 8: All areas in the Sri Aman District will be experiencing water supply disruption for several days due to the low water level of Batang Undup Bayai River.

A statement from the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) today said the low water level in the river has been caused by persistent dry weather here.

JLBAB Sri Aman has set up five Centralised Water Collection Centres at the Sri Aman Public Works Department (JKR) office, state government flat at Jalan Kedang, Sri Aman Prison, Kampung Pakit, and Lachau in Pantu.

“Those affected by the water supply disruption can get water from these five locations. We will also provide water to other affected areas with tanker trucks.

“We urge those affected to conserve water use during this period of water supply disruption,” said JBALB.
