Bomba 5 — The driver that was pinned inside his vehicle awaiting to be extricate by firefighters.

KUCHING, Nov 10: A van driver was trapped in a single-vehicle accident along Jalan Bintulu Port.

According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call regarding the incident at 5.52am and deployed Bomba Kidurong to the location.

The operations commander reported that the victim, a 39-year-old man, had his ankle stuck between the clutch and acceleration paddles.

Firefighters then proceed to extricate the victim by prying open the driver-side door using RTA tools.

He was later handed over to the medical personnel for treatment. — DayakDaily
