KUCHING, Nov 10: A house in the Pusaka Tanjung Manis housing area was 70 per cent damaged in a fire today.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, they received a call regarding the incident at 9.29am and deployed Bomba Tanjung Manis to the location.
The operations commander reported that the house’s occupants were not home during the incident.
Following that, firefighters extinguished the flame using offensive and defensive techniques to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby houses, including moving a Perodua Viva parked under the house from being damaged by the fire.
No casualties were reported during the incident. — DayakDaily
