MIRI,Jan 12: Three luxury cars were damaged in an accident at the entrance of a mall at Jalan Post here earlier this afternoon.
The accident happened around 12pm. No one was injured in the incident.
According to Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the collision occurred when one of the vehicles’ driver stepped on the accelerator instead of the brakes while entering the path leading up to the parking ticket machine.
The parking ticket machine’s barrier gate was also reported damaged in the incident.
Sources added that one of the vehicles’ passengers was a VIP who was heading to the mall to attend a blood donation drive there today.
The case is being investigates under Rule 10LN 166/59. — DayakDaily
