KUCHING, Sept 27: A 30-year-old man was killed after his car lost control, collided into a water pipe and fell into a drain at Jalan Kota Samarahan this morning.
The incident was reported to have happened at 10 am and the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) was deployed to the scene.
According to Sarawak State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the car then turned turtle and was submerged in the water.
Upon reaching the scene, firefighters brought out the body of the driver from the car. He was believed to be heading towards Serian from Kuching area alone when the incident happened.
The case will be investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987. -DayakDaily
