KUCHING, Dec 6: In a jolly and tech-savvy twist this holiday season, Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, surprised his followers by transforming into Santa Claus through the magic of artificial intelligence (AI).
Dr Sim shared the digitally generated image on his official Facebook page, where he appeared as Santa Claus taking a selfie with other AI-generated Santas.
“Amazing what AI can do. Like it or not, fear it or not, AI is already creeping into our daily life. Give it a try. Beware of deep fake Dr Sim next,” he wrote in the caption.
Dr Sim’s post garnered numerous positive reactions from netizens, including one user who humorously commented, “Santa Claus, where is our bonus?”
Another user referred to Dr Sim as “Simta Claus”. — DayakDaily
