KUCHING, March 14: The Sarawak government is going all out and taking proactive measures to curb the Covid-19 outbreak in the state.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, in his Facebook posting, said due to the limited human resources (specialist) in the front lines, the patience, understanding, supports and cooperation from the public is very much important.
“Though health is under the Federal list, Sarawak government will actively help up as Sarawakians’ life are at risk,” he said.
Dr Sim said the state is planning to gather professional medical practitioners to address the issue in Sarawak.
“We will put our professional minds together (private and public specialists, including retired specialists) to overcome the Covid-19 crisis in Sarawak,” he continued.
Earlier today, Dr Sim visited the front-liner fever triage for Covid-19 at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
During the visit, he discussed issues relating to the coronavirus with SGH director Dr Ngian Hie Ung and chief of Infectious Diseases, Dr Chua Hock Hin. — DayakDaily
