KUCHING, May 14: Local medical gases supplier, Linde-EOX Sdn Bhd, has sufficient supply if there is a need, assured Minister of Local Government and Housing Minister Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
According to Dr Sim, in a statement today, Linde’s team demonstrated their capabilities and preparedness to service medical gases requirement of Sarawak state and in particular, during this Covid-19 related pandemic period.
“Understanding their infrastructure and preparedness, provides an assurance that we would have adequate supply of medical gases, if the need arises,” he said after visiting Linde’s medical and industrial gases manufacturing and distribution facility located in Bintawa, here today.
Dr Sim noted Linde also has several other medical and industrial gases manufacturing facilities spread across Malaysia.
He said Linde has two liquid medical oxygen production facilities located in Samajaya here and Bintulu, including multiple gaseous medical gases cylinder filling and distribution facilities located in Sarawak (Bintawa, Miri and Sibu).
“Linde not only has manufacturing facilities throughout Sarawak but also has a well-established distribution fleet consisting of cryogenic mobile tanks and trucks to supply medical and industrial gases, apart from competent people with good know-how in safe production and distribution of these gases,” he added. — DayakDaily
