Dr Renco Yong re-elected as Samin president for 2022-2023

SAMIN committee line-up for years 2022-2024.

KUCHING, April 2: Dr Renco Yong King Hwa has been re-elected as the president of Sarawak Association of Maritime Industries (Samin) for another term of two years (2022-2023).

Captain Ting Hien Liong was also re-elected as the deputy president, according to Samin committee members’ list finalised after its annual general meeting (AGM) held at Sibu PLUX Incubation Hub today.

Other members of the committee line-up included Ling Tiu Khing (vice president for shipbuilding & repair), Jackie Chieng Yew Wei (vice president for marine related industries), Ir Peter Tay Kho Jim (honorary secretary), Robert Tan Yong Yew (assistant secretary), Ngieng Hock Sii (honorary treasurer), Jonathan Ling Nai Wei (assistant treasurer), Choi Man Siaw (general affair officer), Gerald Chang Lik Yang (welfare officer), and Chieng Yeu Foo (education officer).


Meanwhile, in the advisory council, Ngieng Ping Sing is the permanent honorary founding president, Tan Sri Datuk Su Kouk the permanent honorary advisor, Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah the business development advisor, and five others namely Datuk Lau Nai Hoh, Datuk David Ling Kiong Hua, Yong Ing Hui, Ling Chu Ek, and Ignatius Toh Yew Sing the honorary advisors.

There are also 12 other council advisors which included Yong himself, Captain Ting Hien Liong, Ling Tiu Khing, Ir Peter Tay Kho Jim, Jonathan Ling Nai Wei, Ir Jackie Yong Leong Hua, Jason Ting Hua Sung, Ting Chee Meng, Ferdinand Wong Yiung Yiung, Albert Tang King Ho, Wong Tuong Keng, and Chew Soon Kong.— Dayakdaily
