Dr M: We have enough seats to form federal govt

KUCHING, May 10: Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says the opposition coalition has captured more than the needed simple majority to form the federal government in this 14th General Election.

He claimed that PH has secured 112 seats but in many constituencies, Election Commission (EC) officers have refused to sign Form 14, resulting in no official announcement being made even at this late hour.

Dr Mahathir said this at a press conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya about an hour ago.

The 93-year-old opposition leader claimed PH has captured six states — Penang, Selangor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Kedah.

He said PH has managed to win 112 seats and confirmed victory.

“We have rightfully achieved it. And BN (Barisan Nasional) seats are very much less. There is no way it can catch up,” said Dr Mahathir.

He claimed that all results should be out now but no announcement has been made while there were many meetings being held.

He alleged there was a deliberate attempt to delay the announcement by not signing Form 14 on the part of the EC to allow some “hanky panky” to be carried out. — DayakDaily
