KUCHING, July 3: Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Patinggi Ahmad Zahid Hamidi paid a courtesy call to the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at the latter’s office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia this morning.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas; Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan; Sarawak Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom; and Malaysian Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang were present during the courtesy call.
Zahid, who is the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, is on his two-day work trip to Sarawak starting yesterday (July 2).
After the courtesy call, he chaired a coordination meeting between the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) and Sarawak government representatives at the same building. — DayakDaily
