KUCHING, Sept 9: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof today returned to Cabinet after undergoing heart bypass surgery and taking medical leave to recuperate.
In a post shared on his social media, Fadillah expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his Cabinet colleagues for their concern, prayers and support throughout his treatment.
“I am very grateful and happy to be back with my Cabinet colleagues at today’s meeting (in Putrajaya).
“May we all be blessed with good health and lasting well-being, and be able to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to us to the best of our ability,” he said.
Fadillah, who is also Petra Jaya MP, underwent heart bypass surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) on Aug 12, after being admitted on July 28.
He subsequently underwent a coronary angiogram the following day. — DayakDaily
