KUCHING, Jan 19: “Though we are asking for Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), don’t worry,” says Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

In pointing this out, Abang Johari assured Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim it is just to restore back what has been written.

“’Tak banyak dan tak kurang, itu sahaja’ (No more and no less, that’s all),” he added.

Abang Johari said this during the State Banquet for the Prime Minister held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), which was livestreamed via Sarawak Public Communications Unit’s (Ukas) Facebook page, earlier tonight.

During his speech, Abang Johari also hinted that the Prime Minister might be announcing an additional agreement in relation to MA63 for Sarawak.

“The others has been announced, and I am confident that tomorrow, there might be an additional agreement too,” he said.

At the same time, Abang Johari said that Sarawak will continue to support the Unity government under Anwar’s leadership.

He pointed out Anwar has the experience and background that would not only benefit Sarawak, but also Sabah.

“With his past experience, and a clear direction, I believe that we will return Malaysia as the best country with the strength we have, and we will not only raise the dignity of Malaysia but also play a role on the world landscape in the future.

“And I believe that Anwar with his background can raise Malaysia as a country that is respected by foreign countries,” he said. — DayakDaily
