SERIAN, Aug 29: Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus has urged the people in the constituency not to become prey of political parties, which only provide lip service.
He noted that there were some political parties, not from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), making their presence in the area canvassing for votes.
“I am aware that there are already political parties walking up and down in the area (Bukit Semuja) canvassing for votes.
“But I will like to advise the people not to fall prey with their lip service, hoping to gain votes. For us in GPS, we are people-centric to solve the problems of the people,” he said today.
He said this when handing over the Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant amounting to RM180,000 to 23 organisations and 11 recipients under the students incentive programme for Bukit Semuja at Ranchan Recreational Hall.
At the ceremony, John also urged the constituents to support GPS to continue developing the state and looking after the interests of the people.-DayakDaily
