KUCHING, May 18: Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing has been appointed the new chairman of the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) Sarawak.
Minister of Transport Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, in a statement today, said he had handed over the appointment letter to Ding yesterday (May 17).
Other than getting to know the staff of CVLB Sarawak, Ding was also briefed about the function of the CVLB board and updated with the board’s latest progress by Sarawak CVLB director Masitah Annuar.
Among those who also attended the handover ceremony were Puspakom acting deputy manager Liza Jayub, Road Transport Department (JPJ) Sarawak director Norizan Jili, CVLB members Milton Foo and Datu Buckland Bangik, and staff from the Transport Ministry. — Dayakdaily
