SIBU, July 18: Food premises at Taman Selera Harmoni will be allowed to offer dine-in services only if the operators and their workers have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Sibu Municipal Council counselor Mohd Izkandar Abdullah said without the first vaccination, the food operators are only allowed to offer takeaways only.
“For those who wish to operate a (food) premises, they must have at least been vaccinated with the first dose or completed their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine,” he said when met by reporters during his visit to monitor the standard operating procedures (SOPs) compliance from the Taman Selera Harmoni operators, on Friday (July 16).
Meanwhile, Mohd Izkandar said during his visit to Taman Selera Harmoni, there are certain premises operators and workers who did not bring their vaccination card or their mobile phone installed with the MySejahtera application, as proof that they have been vaccinated.
He pointed out that if monitoring is not done, some of the operators and workers would seem to “forget” or do not care about it.
“Even though no enforcement is taken, the operators and workers are still being advised and informed about these matters,” he added. — DayakDaily
