MIRI, April 11: Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Miri branch personnel on Wednesday seized about 80,000 litres of diesel worth RM332,400 from a bunker at a dockyard in Kuala Baram.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the bunker was unlicenced to store diesel.

According to Miri KPDNKHEP head, Joe Azmi Jamil, the raid was held in a joint effort between his department with Miri 12 Battalion General Operation Force (GOF).

The offence is being investigated under the Supply and Control Act 1961.

The successful operation reflected good cooperation among various enforcement agencies in combating unhealthy activities, said Joe Azmi. — DayakDaily
