KUCHING, Feb 14: Beauty queen and singer Dewi Liana Seriestha along with diving queen Pandelela Rinong Pamg are two exceptional talents that the Bidayuhs in Sarawak can be proud of.
Bung Bratak Heritage Association (BBHA) chairman Dato Peter Minos said the two ladies represented youths who excel and brought honour to Sarawak and therefore, they must be supported and appreciated.
Following this, he said the association was very happy and pleased that the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP) Sarawak and its Minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah are supporting Bidayuhs with exceptional talent like Dewi and Pandelela.
“Pandelela is a Malaysian diving queen who had gone international and is the pride of the nation.
“Meanwhile, Dewi is both a singer and actress, and she too went international in beauty contests where she won Miss World Talent in London in 2014.
“Thus, you cannot help but to salute them,” he said in a statement today.
Minos further said after associating with the two gems for years now, he acknowledged that they both had made personal sacrifices to excel in their respective fields.
“Hence, any public support extended to them is very much appreciated,” he added.
Today, Dewi has launched a new single entitled ‘Cinta Abadi’ featuring a music video inspired by Sarawak’s myth of Puteri Sejinjang.
Minos was among those present during the launching ceremony officiated by Abdul Karim at the Borneo Cultures Museum here. — DayakDaily
