KUCHING, June 15: Kapit MP Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi has presented RM654,000 in assistance to over 40 recipients from various segments of the community, including schools, churches, temples, youth associations, village committees, and individuals in need of welfare support.
In a Facebook post, he said he hoped to empower each recipient in their role to uplift the community, whether through education, unity, spirituality, or social welfare.
“As the member of Parliament for Kapit, I believe that the development of an area is not solely dependent on mega projects, but also on continuous support for educational institutions, places of worship, community organisations, and direct aid to those in need.
“This reflects the spirit of ‘Aram Ngemansang Ke Menua’ that I hold firmly—ensuring that everyone can benefit and that no one is left behind in the wave of development.
“My sincere thanks go to all parties involved, whether directly or indirectly, in making this presentation a success. May every cent contributed bring value and create a positive impact for our community in Kapit,” he said. — DayakDaily
