KOTA SAMARAHAN, Dec 31: Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang will scrutinise the proposed relocation of Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat (Kemas) kindergarten in Kampung Tambirat, Asajaya.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Rubiah said she would request the top management to allow the project to be implemented.
“With the existence of a new kindergarten premises, it would help provide a conducive environment for the children and hopefully the allocations that have been channelled will be put to good use,” she said after reviewing the latest flood situation that hit Kampung Tambirat, Asajaya on Thursday (Dec 29).
At the same time, Rubiah who is also Kota Samarahan MP inspected the renovation works of Surau Darul Bahagia in the village which is reported to be almost completed and is one of the projects financed using the allocation under her Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant.
Also present during the visit were Sarawak Kemas deputy director (Early Childhood Education Unit) Roselind Wilson Laing, Sarawak Kemas deputy director (Finance) Fatimah Rosli, Samarahan Division Kemas Officer Syuai’b Ahmad, Penghulu Tamel Rosli and Kampung Tambirat’s Penghulu Yahya Tasah. — DayakDaily
