KUCHING, June 24: The decomposed body found in an empty house at 4th Mile here has been dead for more than a month.
Padawan district police chief Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said this was based on the body’s state of decay after an examination was conducted.
“The body was found wearing a collared T-shirt and short pants, with a tattoo on the right hand.
“No identification documents were found on the victim,” he said in a statement yesterday (June 23).
The body was sent to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Forensic Unit for a post mortem examination.
The case is currently undergoing further investigation and has been classified as sudden death.
Yesterday, the police found the highly decomposed body at an abandoned house after a member of the public lodged a police report regarding the matter. — DayakDaily
