According to his IMDb profile, he appeared in the 2023 global blockbuster ‘Barbie’ and is also credited in ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy’, further cementing his growing presence in major productions.

This not only reflects the show’s increasingly diverse ensemble but, much like how Henry Golding’s casting in ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ marked a proud moment for Southeast Asian representation in Hollywood, Zheng’s appearance in ‘Bridgerton’ signals another meaningful step forward for Malaysian talent on the global stage.

“Absolutely adored my time on @bridgertonnetflix and everyone who I got to meet and work with! What a dream to be part of it all,” said Zheng in an Instagram post.

‘Bridgerton’ is a romance series based on the book series of the same name by Julia Quinn, set during the early 19th century in an alternative Regency-era London.

It follows the close-knit siblings of the noble and influential Bridgerton family as they navigate the highly competitive social season while seeking love. — DayakDaily
