Dead man at Jalan Stephen Yong suspected victim of hit-and-run

KUCHING, 21 July: A 61-year-old man was found dead along Jalan Steven Yong this morning.

A police report was made after the deceased was found lying beside the road at 8am. A police team was deployed to the scene.

According to State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the deceased could be a victim of a hit-and-run as heavy injuries were found on the deceased’s body.

The deceased had major injuries to his head and left leg and was pronounced dead by a medical officer who was called to the scene.

Alexson urged eyewitnesses to the incident to come forward to provide information to the investigation officer at 014-9551030. — DayakDaily
