KUCHING, April 8: Sarawak and Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) MPs met at 12.30pm today, and this was followed by another meeting where de facto Law Minister Datuk Liew Vui Keong met with all PH MPs.

According to a reliable source from PH, the 12.30pm meeting was called by a Sarawakian PH MP, not by Liew.

“The meeting was about us Sarawakian and Sabahan PH MPs, how we approach the Bill (to amend Article 1(2) of the Federal Constitution,” said the source, and not as reported by a local daily here.

It was reported earlier today that all 222 MPs were expected at a meeting with Liew on the proposed amendment to Article 1(2) of the Federal Constitution at 2.30pm.

The report also stated that before the meeting, a separate meeting with the minister was scheduled for 12.30pm, specifically for PH leaders from Sabah and Sarawak.

The 12.30pm meeting was said to be for a discussion to, hopefully, reach a consensus on the amendment Bill, which was tabled for first reading on April 4.

The source said it was true that there was a second meeting following the first meeting, where Liew met all PH MPs.

The source, however, refused to disclose what transpired at the meeting as it was at the discretion of Liew, who called for the meeting. — DayakDaily
