KUCHING, May 14: The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) will not hesitate to take stern legal action against those vandalising public property under its jurisdiction.

DBKU was responding to a recent incident whereby the Hornbill Fountain at Kuching Waterfront was made bubbly with detergent powder.

The commission said this would cause damage to the fountain’s equipment, thus urging the public not to repeat such acts.

“DBKU has filed a police report for further investigation. The suspect’s actions were recorded through CCTVs in the area.

“DBKU advises members of the public not to be involved with vandalising public properties,” it said in a statement today. — DayakDaily
