She commended DBKU under the leadership of its mayor Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai for its excellent performance and proper management of the areas under its jurisdiction.

“I know it is not easy specifically in Semariang. But I know the DBKU staff have been very active on the ground to ensure the continuity of programmes and activities to benefit the community,” she said.

“You have done a good job especially in finding a balance between responsibility, politics and meeting the needs of the people.”

Sharifah Hasidah thus urged the community to give their support and cooperation so that projects planned for the northern jurisdiction of Kuching city can be implemented smoothly and effectively for the benefit of the people.

Earlier during the DBKU monthly assembly, Abang Abdul Wahap urged DBKU staff to continue to give strong commitment when carrying out their duties so as to give their best and efficient service to the people.

“I hope all of us will maintain the excellent work momentum from time to time. Cooperation and teamwork in an organisation is very important to celebrate an achievement,” he said.
